New fees for passport applications
On 11th April 2024, the government introduced new fees for passport applications. The new fee for an online adult application made within the UK is £88.50 and for children’s applications, it is £57.50.
The fee for adult postal applications has increased to £100 and for children’s applications, it is £69.
Online applications submitted from overseas have increased to £101 for adults and £65.50 for children.
The new fee for paper applications from overseas is set to £112.50 for adults and £77 for children.
The passports will usually be issued within 3 weeks if you are applying from within the UK.
