e-Visas Are Coming Soon
Previously, the UK Visas & Immigration provided physical documents that show your immigration status (such as a BRP, BRC, vignette visa sticker, etc). However, the system is going digital. After your physical document expires, you’ll get an e-Visa. This means you’ll be able view and prove your immigration status online instead.
There are many benefits to e-Visas. For example, it can’t be lost, stolen, or tampered with, and when travelling in and out of the UK, border control will be able to quickly and easily see your immigration status. Other third parties, such as employers, landlords, and educational institutes, will also be able to verify your status more easily than before.
